Winter Maxi OOTD

Welcome Back again readers,

This week has passed by pleasantly, with more time for recitation and less time carting the boys to and fro (bonus!). I could get used to this kind of school holiday hehe.
We have also passed the halfway mark of the fast, and it is really going by way too fast. There are so many things one wants to do in this month, and before you know it the time has passed. I am so inspired by all the charity drives and the stunning people behind them, two of which I have featured on the blog, read more here and here.
Last weekend, I delivered the Eid parcels for three needy boys who were allocated to me via The FIG Network. I enlisted my sons, who each adopted a boy close to their own age and contributed, quite freely, from their own funds. It was really heart warming to see how involved they were, how they asked questions about the welfare of these boys, and expressing their sorrow at them not having Eid clothes.
It was a necessary lesson and reminder to them that it is always important to give back and to help those less fortunate. As I said in a previous post, this world would be a much better place if each person took it upon themselves to help just one needy individual. We have enough tragedies, missing kids and gang wars to contend with that it's important to bring out the philanthropist in each individual.
There are still some needy kids on the list who haven't been adopted, contact the FIG Network if you'd like to get involved. Further details on their Facebook page.
Today's look is casual, perfect for running errands.
A striped maxi dress layered with a leather jacket for extra warmth (despite the sunshine it was freezing), sneakers and a carry all shopper handbag.
PS:I love mixing sneakers in, with just about anything!
