Year End Denim OOTD

Welcome readers,

It’s no secret that I have already been in serious holiday mode this week. With it being my anniversary and schools closing, there was plenty of reason to celebrate. The weather has been absolutely gorgeous and our kids surely have a promising four weeks of relaxation ahead.

This post marks my sign off from the blog for a well deserved break, I leave for Malaysia and Bali on Sunday for some girl time out.

Even though I had the most amazing time at the Twelve Apostles this week, it’s insane that the moment I stepped back into my home, I got right back onto the crazy hamster wheel of mommy life. Immediately, the commitments, dental appointments, meetings, collecting reports and driving to and fro began. So needless to say I am eager for a proper break, without all the crazy schedules, one can call it my leave from being in a demanding mompreneur career ! Hubby takes over for a bit, and will manage the home front in my absence and work will resume in the new year.

I am therefore taking leave from work, mommy duties, blog posts and putting up my feet on a tropical beach, with some added shopping for good measure. When I return, I will be refreshed, missing my family like crazy and ready to step back into my mommy role. I think it is essential for any stay at home mum to have some well deserved time out. Whether it is a short weekend break to a local spa or resort, to a ’girls night out’, or just an afternoon of coffee and shopping. It is essential to remember the woman, the person behind the wife and mom. With it being school holidays, it’s the perfect opportunity for moms to take a short time out, as there are less commitments to drive kids around for.

This has really been an amazing week, I am grateful for so many things and I was made to feel so loved and special by all the guys in my life.

Hello beauties!

The fast is flying by and it has already been such a good month! I have really taken the time to reflect and make the most of this month.

It's amazing how much more time I have found I have, well... I haven't really gone shopping aside from the sorely needed groceries. My kids do not participate in sport, and I therefore do not have to do soccer runs or be on the soccer field at the crack of dawn on a Saturday. I have been practising my scarf wrapping and the different styles and those of you who follow me on Instagram would have seen my posts on this.

One thing I do miss, is my occasional coffee dates with friends, and as a result I have a few promises of catch ups after Ramadaan.

The outfit I chose for today's post was worn before the fast for a breakfast date with my sister at Tobago's (another favourite). I love the view from the deck, the breakfast room is small so its very intimate and always makes me feel like I'm on holiday.

I covered my denim on denim outfit with a loose knit crew neck and my courts in bright pink.
